About The Position

Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is looking for a Program Coordinator who is passionate about improving Arizona's education system and ensuring equitable access to literacy education across Phoenix. If you enjoy leading teams, building relationships with partnering schools, and supporting grade-school students, then apply to become a Program Coordinator at Read Better Be Better! Read Better Be Better is a nonprofit organization based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded in 2014 as a response to the state's literacy crisis. Our mission is to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership. Our vision is a world in which empowered communities demand equitable access to foundational skills. Our values are simple - Be Excellent, Be Kind! The Program Coordinator helps ensure Read Better Be Better programs run smoothly and effectively across multiple sites. Working closely with Program Managers, Program Coaches, and partner organizations, this role coordinates program logistics, supports student recruitment, manages data and materials, and strengthens relationships with schools and community partners. The Program Coordinator also supervises a team of part-time Program Coaches and contributes to overall program operations and strategic priorities. Your day starts in the office-responding to emails, preparing program materials, and coordinating with schools and Program Coaches. You'll organize supplies, schedule site visits, and ensure each school has what it needs to run our after-school reading programs. In the afternoon, you're often out in the community-delivering materials, visiting campuses, and observing sessions to support Program Coaches and ensure consistent program quality. One evening each week, you'll lead a team meeting with Program Coaches for training, team building, and progress updates about participating students. Through your organization and leadership, you help make it possible for students across Phoenix to receive the literacy support they deserve.
