About The Position

The U.S. Program (USP) division focuses on expanding access to life-changing opportunities, particularly in postsecondary education, to ensure it becomes a more equitable producer of valuable credentials for all students. USP works with partners to generate insights, accelerate innovation, strengthen capacity, improve enabling conditions, and engage stakeholders to drive equitable impact. This role involves coordinating, developing, and managing a portfolio of investments, with a focus on processes, systems, due diligence, and timeline management. Budget oversight, financial analysis, and reporting may also be part of the role. Multiple opportunities are available, some full-time and some as two-year limited-term roles, based in Seattle, Washington, or Washington, D.C.

  • Basic SharePoint site administration skills, including metadata tagging, document view creation, archiving, and creating and maintaining confidential files.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization in the country where this position is located.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, develop, and manage a portfolio of investments, with an emphasis on processes and systems, initial investment due diligence, and timeline management.
  • Provide or support budget oversight and planning, financial analysis and reporting, and process management for the portfolio of investments, which may include grants, contracts, and program-related investments.
  • Work closely with investment makers to develop, manage, and maintain a portfolio of investments, advising on investment structure, ensuring compliance with foundation processes, maintaining internal systems, initial investment due diligence, and timeline management.
  • Collaborate with business partners, grantees, and vendors throughout the investment lifecycle to lead investments through internal and external processes.
  • Collect portfolio data, identify trends, and communicate issues to the program team.
  • Plan and participate in cross-foundation and cross-program projects.
  • Assist the program team with the annual pipeline planning process.
  • Lead the Request for Proposal process for program staff.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on processes, tools, systems, and templates, providing training, ongoing coaching, and process change support to program team and external partners.
