About The Position

The Program Coordinator will support the strategic implementation, daily operations, and reporting requirements for Baltimore’s Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund (CRRF) in partnership with the Community Reinvestment and Repair Commission (CRRC). This position assists with the equitable, transparent, and efficient distribution of funds to residents and community-based organizations serving neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by past cannabis prohibition enforcement. They will assist with community engagement and public communications for the CRRC, ensuring that funding opportunities, program updates, and impact stories are accessible to Baltimore residents—particularly those in communities disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition enforcement. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the CRRC, MD Office of Social Equity (OSE), the Mayor’s Office, and internal city agencies to ensure that legislative and fiscal goals are met. This role reports to the Chief of the Equity Division of OECR.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, human services, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in program coordination, administrative support, community engagement, public administration, communications, or related work.
  • Experience working with historically underserved communities and facilitating equity focused initiatives.
  • Experience supporting public programs, commissions, boards, or community-based initiatives are strongly preferred.
  • Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, content management systems, and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple outreach and communications projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to equity, transparency, and public service.
  • Ability to identify pressing needs and prioritize those as needed, without losing track of other tasks and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and able to correlate topics and information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in the use of office software applications to prepare reports and use software to develop information.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate CRRC administrative operations with the Chair of the CRRC and Chief of the Equity Division to support meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Serve as the staff liaison to the CRRC, supporting onboarding, meeting coordination, and tracking of action items and priorities identified by the outreach and engagement efforts of the CRRC.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Maryland Office of Social Equity (OSE) and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support collection and analysis of program data to evaluate performance and impact.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain program data and assist in the preparation of performance, activity, and impact reports.
  • Assist in maintaining records necessary to support audits, monitor reviews, and oversight inquiries.
  • Coordinate communication between City agencies, Commission members, and external partners to support program implementation and information sharing.
  • Provide administrative support for Commission operations, including agenda preparation, meeting materials, minutes, and documentation of outcomes.
  • Support coordination of community engagement activities including public meetings, listening sessions, outreach events, workshops, and informational forums.
  • Provide content development support for CRRC graphics, reporting, and public engagement materials.
  • Assist in developing and implementing outreach strategies designed to increase awareness of CRRF programs and encourage broad community participation.
  • Coordinate with the External Affairs Division to explore opportunities for cross-commission engagement.
  • Support the External Affairs Division in establishing, growing, and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, neighborhood associations, advocacy groups, and faith-based institutions whose work is aligned with the mission of the CRRC.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for engagement activities in historically underserved communities.
  • In collaboration with the External Affairs Division, respond to routine inquiries from residents and stakeholders regarding Commission activities and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain CRRC’s public transparency portal and related public-facing materials with current program information, meeting documents, and reports.
  • Ensure all public information about CRRC is clear, accurate, and accessible to diverse audiences, including non-English speakers and residents with disabilities.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, talking points, and briefing documents for CRRC meetings, City Council updates, and community forums.
  • Support documentation of Commission activities, program updates, and community engagement outcomes for public reporting purposes.
