About The Position

SANCORP is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War Policy Regional Deterrence Office. This role involves analyzing political-military issues, managing regional programs, facilitating interagency communication, and ensuring compliance with requirements. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in assessing program impact and recommending improvements to meet strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in International Affairs/Relations, Political Science, National Security, Security Studies, Public Policy, or a directly related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in two or more of the specified fields below:
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise analyzing complex regional security issues and/or executing international security cooperation (SC) or defense initiatives to advance U.S. strategic objectives.
  • Ability to independently manage and oversee complex regional, bilateral, and/or multilateral strategic programs and engagements.
  • Experience drafting professional documents related to defense, regional security, or security cooperation issues for senior leaders including white papers, briefings, reports, etc.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end coordination, planning, and facilitation of interagency attended international events.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide political-military prioritization recommendations. Provide recommendations/input to strategic and regional guidance.
  • Identify program risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate a design framework for regional program strategic initiative coordination.
  • Support OSW’s oversight efforts of the implementation of this framework and manage daily processes associated with the implementation of the framework. Support will also include assessment and monitoring and analysis of program impact to determine if strategic objectives are being met.
  • Provide process and program improvement recommendations.
  • Foster transparent and Interagency communication and coordinate with other stakeholders in the DoW regional engagement community to de-conflict overlapping, non-complementary, or duplicative efforts.
  • Ensure regional programs and activities are compliant with mandated Congressional requirements and coordinated with other Policy and interagency initiatives.
  • Work closely with DSCA to track funds status and identify achievement of program outputs and indicator of program effectiveness.
