The Department of Commerce, Division of Public Staff Utilities Commission, is looking for an Program Coordinator IV- Wake County. The primary purpose of this coordinator position is for timely review and development of recommendations for assigned telecom filings, water and sewer resale (i.e., WR and WRN) filings, as well as analytical review of HHG audits and negotiating satisfactory settlements in HHG claims. The position is also responsible for necessary preparation of recommendations with regards to the Commission’s regulation of local exchange companies (ILECs), competing local providers (CLPs), interexchange long distance carriers (IXCs), payphone service providers (PSPs), and shared tenant services providers (STS), and maintaining multiple database and files across the multiple sections. This position in the Transportation/Water-Reseller/Telecom section of the Public Staff's Water Division, is a high-level administrative position in a multi-section regulatory environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong critical thinking skills to understand and objectively apply a variety of regulations to assist consumers and ensure utilities’ compliance. The position requires independent initiative to alternate between contrasting program areas with well-defined regulatory processes and broadly defined regulatory processes, to meet the objectives of task functions.
