About The Position

This position is Exempt from the Human Resources Act (EHRA) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with applicable State Benefits. This position ensures post-funding award notification workflow tasks are handled, primarily through collecting financial and fund qualification data to prepare Letters of Intent to Fund, establishing or setting up Funding Agreements in the Division’s grant management system (EBS), coordinating, and regularly monitoring EBS for missing, incomplete, or incorrect information. This position serves as a point of contact for organizing and conducting technically complex presentations on a range of funding programs and application training in various parts of the state and virtually. Other Key Responsibilities: Prepare and update funding program and application materials (including forms, flyers, guidance materials, and spreadsheets), presentations, and website information. Assist with organizing staff and resources to conduct technical application reviews and may assist with application reviews and preparing documents for the State Water Infrastructure Authority. Meet with potential applicants and other stakeholders in person across the state to answer technical questions about the Division’s funding programs, providing information on qualifying projects and assessments related to the LGU.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with North Carolina's environmental regulations and funding programs.
