About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This specific temporary position is located at 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC - Wake County with the Department of Public Instruction. The hourly rate of pay is $20.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide licensure technical support.

  • Process fee inquiries and payments.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Monitor email correspondences generated by internal and external systems.
  • Provide licensure guidance to educators and other shareholders.
  • Forward more complex issues to an Education Specialist for further consultation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
