About The Position

The Program Coordinator I – Career Development Events (CDE), Leadership Development Events (LDE), and Alumni Programs is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of statewide competitive events and alumni engagement initiatives for Utah FFA. This position manages complex programs involving students, educators, volunteers, and industry partners, while also leading the development and expansion of the Utah FFA Alumni & Supporters network. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality leadership and career development opportunities to Utah FFA members while strengthening alumni engagement and support systems. The Program Coordinator I ensures the successful execution of statewide programs that directly impact student growth, teacher support, and the advancement of agricultural education. This role requires a high level of independence, decision-making, and program ownership, supporting large-scale, multifaceted initiatives that contribute to student leadership development and agricultural education across the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient with Asana, Academic Experience Tracker, Judging Card, Constant Contact, Wix Website Management, Google Drive, Box

  • Knowledge of agricultural education and FFA programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage 26 statewide Career Development Events (CDEs) and Leadership Development Events (LDEs)
  • Develop and maintain event schedules, timelines, and logistics
  • Oversee event rules, updates, and implementation of changes
  • Manage event deadlines, and communication with advisors and participants
  • Coordinate judges, volunteers, and event resources
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all events
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines for CDE and LDE programs
  • Manage required documentation including appeal forms, accommodation requests, waivers, and compliance materials
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and reporting systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions
  • Serve as the primary liaison for agricultural educators, students, and stakeholders regarding competitive events
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to teachers and advisors
  • Communicate deadlines, updates, and procedural changes effectively
  • Foster collaborative relationships across schools, districts, and partner organizations
  • Lead the development and expansion of the Utah FFA Alumni & Supporters program
  • Create and implement strategies to increase alumni engagement and participation statewide
  • Develop resources, programming, and opportunities to support local alumni chapters
  • Recruit, engage, and retain volunteers and supporters
  • Plan and coordinate large-scale events, including the Regional Development Conference and other alumni-focused programs
  • Manage logistics including scheduling, facilities, registration, and communication
  • Collaborate with national and regional partners to deliver high-quality programming
  • Promote CDE, LDE, and alumni programs through communication channels, including digital platforms and outreach efforts
  • Assist in the development of promotional and educational materials
  • Support awareness and participation in Utah FFA programs
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and event timelines
  • Coordinate facilities, equipment, and supplies for events and programs
  • Support budget tracking and reporting as needed
  • Assist in supervising student or hourly employees and volunteers
