About The Position

As an HVAC Program Coordinator, you'll lead both classroom instruction and program operations while mentoring instructors and helping students build the skills needed for successful careers in the HVAC industry. We're looking for HVAC professionals who can lead by example, inspire others, and bring real-world industry experience into an educational environment. As an HVAC Program Coordinator, you'll oversee instructional quality, support faculty development, and help ensure students receive the training and guidance necessary to succeed in the field.

Requirements

Oil Burner Certificate or Refrigeration License (or willing to obtain in 90 days)
Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a licensed HVAC Technician or similar role (apprenticeship experience not included)
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and industry standards
Ability to lead, mentor, and support faculty and students
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

3 years of classroom teaching experience at the post-secondary level, not required.
3 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
Experience developing training programs, mentoring employees, or leading teams
Passion for workforce development and student success

Responsibilities

Teach HVAC courses and provide hands-on training in classroom and lab settings (minimum 20 teaching hours per week)
Mentor, support, and develop instructors to ensure high-quality instructional delivery
Monitor student progress and provide guidance to help students achieve academic and career goals
Adapt instructional approaches to meet the needs of students with varying experience and skill levels
Manage program operations including scheduling, inventory, equipment, and classroom resources
Collaborate with faculty and administration to maintain curriculum quality and student outcomes
Share real-world HVAC knowledge, safety practices, troubleshooting techniques, and industry best practices
Help prepare students for licensing, certification, and employment opportunities
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development activities
