About The Position

The Program Coordinator, Global Programs, within the Office of Provost - MIT Solve, will be instrumental in executing MIT Solve's open innovation Challenges across various impact areas. This role involves supporting key processes, managing communications, organizing events and workshops, and contributing to the sourcing, selection, and support of innovative individuals globally. The position focuses on programs within any of Solve’s programmatic areas, with a particular emphasis on health-related initiatives. The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Lead, Health, and will also assist with internal or ad-hoc projects as required. MIT Solve is an initiative of MIT dedicated to fostering a sustainable and equitable future by sourcing and supporting diverse global solutions to critical challenges.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of administrative and/or project/program management experience.
  • Ability to plan work efficiently to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Directly related experience may include co-ops or internships in administrative or project management positions.
  • Relevant experience may also be credited from work (including seasonal and part-time) or volunteering in other areas with transferrable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of MIT Solve's open innovation Challenges.
  • Manage processes, communications, events, and workshops.
  • Assist in sourcing, selecting, and supporting high-impact innovators worldwide.
  • Work on programs across Solve’s programmatic areas, with an emphasis on health-related programs.
  • Support internal or ad-hoc projects as needed.
