About The Position

The Program Coordinator, Events & Communications, within MIT Corporate Relations, serves as the operational link between the Communications and Events functions. This role supports the planning, execution, and follow-up of various events including webinars, conferences, executive briefings, and ILP member events. Key responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, attendee communications, registration systems, content management, and post-event reporting. The position aims to ensure a consistent experience for attendees and to improve processes, documentation, and operational efficiency by working across multiple teams. The role reports to the Director of Communications, Events, Research & Operations and collaborates closely with the Events and Communications teams. The primary focus areas are Event Operations, Communications & Content Coordination, Data Management & Reporting, and Process Improvement & Documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience supporting professional events, conferences, webinars, or executive programs
  • Experience with event registration platforms such as Cvent or Eventbrite
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing data and preparing reports
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer service and stakeholder support skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends during events

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Cvent
  • Experience with Salesforce / CRM systems
  • Experience supporting virtual and hybrid events
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools for writing, summarization, and workflow automation
  • Experience managing digital content including YouTube or similar platforms
  • Experience working in higher education, research organizations, or member-based organizations
