About The Position

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Coordinator, Awardee Services, in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid position with the expectation to be at the National Center office one day/week. Full-time temporary position through June 30, 2027. The Program Coordinator provides administrative and technical support services in the Association's research awards process and day-to-day management services for investigators and their institutional grants and fiscal officers. You would conduct data quality reviews for the team and assist customers in understanding and interpreting the Association's policies and procedures to ensure compliance on awards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience required
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and effectively to multiple audiences
  • Experience working with databases and electronic reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and conditional logic
  • Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews annual award expenditures reports for compliance with policies and communicates with the respective awardee and institutional personnel
  • Reviews awards, change requests, and related inquiries
  • Handles the awards team's general email box and inquiries
  • Supports the award payment process
  • Provides information and consultation to all customer groups (awardees, institutional personnel, and sponsors)
  • Assist management with special projects as needed/assigned.
