About The Position

This is a temporary position, limited to 900 hours, providing administrative and program support for a variety of programs across the Athletic Department, specifically focusing on facility operations and capital improvement projects. The role involves serving as a point of contact for contractors and vendors, maintaining records, troubleshooting facility issues, and supporting project planning and oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and program support across a variety of facility operations and capital improvement projects.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for contractors, vendors, and visitors to facilities; provides general information and directs inquiries appropriately.
  • Organizes, tracks, and maintains facility supplies, equipment, and project documentation to ensure accurate inventory and resource availability.
  • Troubleshoots basic facility-related issues, including work-order tracking systems, access control, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, project schedules, budgets, and progress reports for review by leadership.
  • Makes recommendations for repairs, preventive maintenance, and capital improvements; assists with scheduling of work orders and contractor appointments.
  • Supports project planning by gathering data, assisting with cost estimates, and providing input on operational efficiencies and safety compliance.
  • Oversee and inspect the work of contractors and service providers to ensure tasks are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Evaluates the performance and adherence to safety protocols of service vendors and contractors for the purpose of ensuring compliance and successful project outcomes.
  • Helps monitor the overall physical condition of departmental facilities and enforce policies to maintain a safe, functional, and productive environment.
  • Understands and comply with applicable university, state, and federal regulations, as well as campus policies related to facilities management, safety, and capital projects.
  • Adheres to university guidelines including FERPA, procurement policies, and safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
