About The Position

This is a temporary (Fixed Term) clerical position within the Instruction Department at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM). UAM is one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, located in southeastern Arkansas. The role involves processing various administrative tasks related to EMS programs, student records, and assisting instructors. The position requires specific certifications and good communication and organizational skills. Requirements

  • AAS in Paramedicine or equivalent
  • Current Arkansas Paramedic license
  • National Registry Paramedic certification preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn online teaching requirements
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, & PALS Provider Cards
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, & PALS Instructor Cards
  • Arkansas EMS Instructor card
  • Records of required immunizations for clinical sites (i.e., TB Skin Test, Flu Vaccinations, MMR, Hep B, COVID-19, etc.)
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • National Registry Paramedic certification

Responsibilities

  • Processing AHA cards and required paperwork and reporting processes.
  • Maintaining and processing student records and clinical documentation.
  • Evaluating and reporting student progress.
  • Assisting instructors with departmental required processes.
  • Serving on the EMS Advisory Committee
  • Performing any other duties assigned to you by the Assistant Vice Chancellor, and Director of Allied Health.
