About The Position

The Financial Aid Office is accepting applications for a Program Assistant. The qualified candidate selected for this position will be responsible for completing special or ongoing projects/tasks/responsibilities, such as coordinating the processing of student financial aid records/forms, processing documents, tracking/monitoring student records/forms, and maintaining Banner data forms and information. This role involves collecting and posting information into computer or manual filing systems, following acceptable review and correction procedures. The Program Assistant will also handle office visitors and telephone calls, answer routine questions, screen calls/callers, take messages, and refer to appropriate personnel. Additionally, they will pick-up, sort, and deliver mail, coordinate the use of departmental computer systems, enter data accordingly, assist in mailings and missing document requests, and operate and maintain office machines like copiers, scanners, fax machines, calculators, personal computers, and typewriters. A key responsibility is reviewing and correcting student data to ensure the accuracy of applications. Some assigned duties may require special training and/or certification.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year general office experience
