This position has responsibility for handling the support functions for program operations. This includes customer service, phone calling, filing, copying, mailings, timesheets and data entry. Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer system and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of general office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to relate to diverse population and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective manner.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in an office setting, including experience with computer systems is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and other office software required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or general education development (GED) preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and prepares all forms, correspondence, schedules, spreadsheets, mailings, copying and reports needed by the program.
  • Assists staff with computer and word processing needs.
  • Organizes and maintains program records, files, checklists, schedules, demographics, calendars and outcome measures as needed to organize program staff materials.
  • Receives program phone calls and handles or routes them as needed.
  • Maintains a system for tracking staff whereabouts.
  • Assists with the coordination of maintenance and repair of computers, phones, and other equipment within program.
  • Performs other special assignments at supervisor’s request.
