About The Position

Would you like to make a difference every day in someone’s life? As a Program Assistant in our Adult Day Program, you’ll provide meaningful support and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the individuals we serve. Provide care and support to health-impaired older adults and individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral or mental health diagnoses Assist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programs Support daily living activities including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration Promote independence by teaching life skills, encouraging self-advocacy, and building self-esteem Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of individuals in a structured day program setting Assist with participation in community-based activities and social engagement Foster positive relationships and encourage social interaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current physical (within the past 12 months) and annual TB test required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • A caring, compassionate attitude with a dedication to supporting others
  • Reliable, responsible approach and commitment to quality care

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred (experience with older adults is a plus)
  • Knowledge of vital signs, weights, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) preferred

Responsibilities
