About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking team-oriented individuals to support our after-school programs across the Richmond City Region. This role involves partnering with program staff to ensure activities run smoothly, assisting with group management, setting up and cleaning activity spaces, and providing encouragement to children. The goal is to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Requirements
- Friendly, dependable, and eager to contribute
- Comfortable working in a team and taking direction
- Interest in gaining experience with youth programs
- At least 16 years old
Responsibilities
- Partner with program staff to keep activities running smoothly and on schedule
- Assist with group management, transitions, and daily routines
- Set up and clean up activity spaces, snacks, and materials
- Offer encouragement and support to children as they participate in games and projects
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all participants
