About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking team-oriented individuals to support our before and after-school programs across the Petersburg Region. This role focuses on making before and after-school hours meaningful for children by assisting with program activities and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Friendly, dependable, and eager to contribute
- Comfortable working in a team and taking direction
- Interest in gaining experience with youth programs
- At least 16 years old
Responsibilities
- Partner with program staff to keep activities running smoothly and on schedule
- Assist with group management, transitions, and daily routines
- Set up and clean up activity spaces, snacks, and materials
- Offer encouragement and support to children as they participate in games and projects
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all participants
