About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and detail -oriented Program Analyst to support short and long -range service planning, grant development, capital project coordination, and scheduling functions . In this role, you will work closely with staff across the Office of Transportation and partner departments to ensure transit initiatives are aligned, well -managed, and responsive to community needs .

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in transit planning, transportation planning, urban planning, transit operations management, or transportation engineering
  • A Master’s degree in urban planning, geography, public administration, economics, business, or a related field may substitute for the two -year experience requirement
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, as the position may require the use of company vehicles
  • Proof of education and work experience is required and will be subject to verification

Responsibilities

  • Conduct special studies and surveys to improve service efficiency and cost -effectiveness.
  • Support innovative scheduling approaches and short -term service planning recommendations.
  • Work with transportation staff to translate the Transit Vision Plan into actionable steps.
  • Coordinate with divisions on how service changes, scheduling, and long -range plans impact daily operations and resources.
  • Ensure stakeholders, municipalities, and community groups are informed and engaged in service change proposals.
  • Contribute to recommendations regarding transit regulatory requirements, environmental reviews, and Title VI compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, implement, and monitor capital projects, ensuring they align with goals, timelines, and funding requirements.
  • Identify funding opportunities for capital improvements and assist with grant applications, financial tracking, and audit preparation.
  • Lead the office -wide annual business planning process to prioritize activities, allocate resources, and align with Transit Vision Plan goals.
  • Develop templates, capture lessons learned, and create escalation processes to support project delivery.
  • Track project progress and report updates to leadership, the public, and the Board.
