The Program Administrator oversees the milieu and therapeutic programming of the assigned program. This includes the development and implementation of therapeutic programming and groups by the interdisciplinary team. The role ensures appropriate, therapeutically documented supervision to protect the health, safety, and habilitation of the people supported, consistent with agency philosophy, department practices, and regulatory requirements. The Program Administrator provides effective leadership, develops a treatment team for quality care and positive outcomes, and coordinates all members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT). They foster an open-door policy, utilize participatory management, maintain direct relationships with staff, and bolster staff morale. The position involves assigning responsibilities, ensuring staff coverage, managing schedules, and supervising staff to meet the needs of those supported and adhere to standards. The role also plays an active part in hiring, assessing work performance, and fostering professional development. The Program Administrator leads and facilitates interdisciplinary team meetings, attends planning and other meetings, and organizes and presents ongoing trainings. They maintain a safe environment, assess and rectify risks, and oversee facility maintenance and supply inventory. The position facilitates professional relationships with families, service providers, and community members, acting as a program representative and advocating for persons with disabilities. Financial oversight, record maintenance, and ensuring program operation within budgetary guidelines are key responsibilities. The role ensures the completion and maintenance of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. This includes medical and medication management records, treatment records, progress reports, data collection, behavior reports, incident reports, and billing records. The Program Administrator ensures compliance with care plans for quality improvement and adheres to all Federal, State, Local, and other relevant regulatory agency requirements, including HIPAA. They ensure compliance with oversight agency laws, rules, and program requirements by passing audits and surveys. The role is responsible for individual’s financial management and serves as a liaison to the Regional Center, Community Care Licensing, and Department of Developmental Services (DDS). The Program Administrator may serve as Administrator-on-Call and provide program/floor coverage when necessary. All other duties as assigned.
