About The Position

The Program Administrator oversees the comprehensive management and operational success of the assigned, multi-site neurology telemedicine program and other neurological services provided remotely. This position is responsible for leading program development, ensuring smooth clinical and operational workflows, and maintaining compliance with hospital healthcare standards and regulations. The Program Administrator works closely with neurologists, IT staff, and partner hospital staff to deliver high-quality, timely, and effective neurological consultative care via remote consultation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, a related field, or the equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare program management or telemedicine, with at least two of those years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of neurology protocols, TeleNeuro and/or TeleStoke technology, and healthcare operations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with various stakeholders, including physicians, administrators, and IT team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to oversee complex, multi-site operations and drive program growth.
  • Ability to navigate telemedicine platforms, EMR systems, and other healthcare technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify challenges, evaluate solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clinical teams, hospital leadership, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of healthcare laws and telemedicine regulations (e.g., HIPAA, etc.).
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, a related field, or the equivalent work experience.
  • Certification as a Telehealth Coordinator (CTC).
  • Experience with program development, particularly in telehealth or TeleNeuro and/or Telestroke services.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with hospital networks or health systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations of the program services, ensuring efficient delivery of services across all partner hospitals.
  • Coordinates with clinical, IT, and administrative teams to ensure the seamless integration of telemedicine technology and workflows into existing hospital systems.
  • Facilitates program expansion by onboarding new partner sites and coordinating system integrations.
  • Provides support as the point of contact for program physicians and external partners involved in the program.
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation of all program encounters, complying with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient outcomes, response times, and program utilization metrics.
  • Works with Neurosciences Clinical Educator to develop and implement training programs for staff, physicians, and partners on the program's protocols and technology use.
  • Helps facilitate partner site education initiatives regarding the benefits and process of the program.
  • Works with Outreach Director to monitor program performance and identify areas for improvement in clinical workflows, response times, and patient care.
  • Identifies quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with clinical teams to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Ensures the program complies with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards, including HIPAA, and applicable licensing and credentialing requirements.
  • Stays informed of industry trends and regulatory updates related to telemedicine and neurologic care.
