About The Position
A tenure-track or tenured Assistant, Associate, or full Professor position in Persian/Iranian Studies, focusing on early modern and/or modern Iran. The faculty member will teach 4 courses per academic year, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, keep an active research profile, actively collaborate in program development and activities, and perform other departmental service.
Requirements
- Demonstrated research specialization in Persian/Iranian studies
- Demonstrated research and teaching record in at least one of the following: Qajar and Safavid history with digital humanities and/or environmental humanities, or media/film studies
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level commensurate to career level
Responsibilities
- Teach 4 courses per academic year, at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Keep an active research profile
- Actively collaborate in program development and activities
- Perform other departmental service
