About The Position

The University of Florida Warrington College of Business is seeking to hire a Full Professor of Finance to hold the Bank of America Eminent Scholar Chair. The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the research environment of the Eugene F. Brigham Finance, Insurance and Real Estate Department and the college through mentorship of doctoral students and active engagement on campus in the department’s research and intellectual life. Teaching duties will primarily be at the graduate level and come with an attractive teaching load. The position will begin in August 2027. The ideal candidate will have a record of impactful, highly cited research in top-tier finance and economics journals sustained over time. The position requires an active research agenda and recognition as a leading scholar in the field. A Ph.D. in finance or a closely related discipline is required, along with demonstrated teaching experience at the graduate level. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The Eugene F. Brigham Finance, Insurance and Real Estate Department includes more than 30 faculty members and has a strong research presence across corporate finance, investments, AI in finance, fintech, financial institutions, asset pricing, behavioral finance, household finance, and real estate. Faculty benefit from access to university-wide research infrastructure, including HiPerGator, UF’s advanced supercomputing cluster, and the on-campus Florida Federal Statistical Research Data Center. The department is also home to several research centers, including the FinTech Research Center and the Kelley A. Bergstrom Real Estate Center. The department serves more than 1,500 undergraduate finance majors and supports nationally recognized Master of Science in Finance (MSF) and Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) programs, as well as the new Master of Science in Finance and Technology (MSFT) program. The department’s rigorous Ph.D. program has a strong record of placing graduates at research universities in the United States and internationally.

Requirements
