About The Position

The Management and Organization (M&O) Department in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill two full-time tenure-track professor positions in the areas of Organizational Behavior (OB), Organizational Theory (OT), or Strategy. These positions can be filled at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The desired start date is Fall 2027. Candidates in the final stages of a PhD program will be considered for Assistant Professor roles. For Associate or Full Professor positions, applicants must demonstrate a strong record of high-quality scholarly research and teaching competence. All candidates must hold a PhD in Management or a related field by the appointment start date. Senior candidates must also show a significant publication record in high-quality journals and impact in the field.

Requirements

PhD in Management or a related field by the appointment start date
For Associate or Full Professor rank: proven track record in conducting high-quality scholarly research
For Associate or Full Professor rank: demonstrated teaching competence at a high level
For Associate or Full Professor rank: demonstrated sufficient publications in high-quality journals
For Associate or Full Professor rank: demonstrated sufficient impact of research work on the field
Ability to connect with a wide array of doctoral students and faculty in our department
