About The Position

Golden Gate University’s School of Psychology seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. The faculty member will serve as lead faculty for the 30-unit, STEM-designated MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, which is delivered online and in hybrid formats in San Francisco and through international partners to online cohorts of working professionals worldwide. The position combines teaching, program leadership, scholarship, and service, and reports to the Founding Dean of the School of Psychology. The appointment is based at the San Francisco campus, with hybrid and online responsibilities, live online sessions across global time zones (including some evenings and weekends), and occasional domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will shape the curriculum and strategic direction of the program, strengthen applied and experiential learning, and maintain quality across domestic and international delivery. Responsibilities include teaching graduate I-O courses; developing and maintaining course materials and assessments; supervising capstones and mentoring students; overseeing curriculum, program assessment, documentation, and accreditation-related work; developing internships and employer partnerships; coordinating courses and faculty with international partners; contributing to scholarship and the School’s research agenda on human systems in the age of AI; and participating in university, professional, and student service. The program prepares graduates for careers in organizational development, talent management, people analytics, executive coaching, and consulting. Its curriculum spans applied research, assessment and selection, organizational behavior and development, coaching, consulting, diversity, conflict resolution, leadership, applied AI and agents, and a culminating capstone. The successful candidate will help prepare graduates for AI-enabled organizations, expand experiential learning, support culturally diverse international cohorts, and develop potential offerings such as graduate certificates and executive education.
