About The Position

The Operations academic area within the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking to fill one or more tenure-track or tenured faculty positions with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. Successful candidates will be both productive researchers as well as creative and effective teachers capable of contributing to the School’s Undergraduate, Master of Business Administration, Master of Accounting, Master of Science in Management, Ph.D., and Executive Development programs. Selected applicants are anticipated to teach and research in areas of Operations Management such as Supply Chain Management, Service Operations (e.g., Healthcare, Retail, etc.), Sustainability, Digital Operations, Business Analytics, and/or other related areas.

Requirements

• Strong research skills.
• Ability to publish in top-tier academic journals.
• Capability to teach effectively in various academic programs.

Nice To Haves

• Research and teaching experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Research and teaching experience in Service Operations (e.g., Healthcare, Retail, etc.).
• Research and teaching experience in Sustainability.
• Research and teaching experience in Digital Operations.
• Research and teaching experience in Business Analytics.
• Research and teaching experience in other related areas of Operations Management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and publish in top-tier academic journals.
