About The Position

The University of Oklahoma's Department of Psychology is seeking applications for two tenured/tenure-track faculty openings, rank open. One position is in Quantitative Psychology with a focus on health outcomes, and the other is in Cognitive Neuroscience with a focus on attention, memory, or language. These positions are part of a multi-year strategic hiring and growth initiative in Applied Psychological Science and align with the strategic plans of the Psychology department and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships. The expected start date is August 2027, with a 2:2 teaching load. The department offers PhD programs in Cognitive, Industrial/Organizational, Applied Social and Developmental, and Quantitative Psychology, as well as an MA in Organizational Dynamics. Some faculty also engage in interdisciplinary specialties such as Neuroscience, Personality/Individual Differences, and Cellular and Behavioral Neurobiology. For the Quantitative Psychology position, the department seeks a leader in developing and applying advanced quantitative methods to health-related questions. Current quantitative faculty specialize in areas like longitudinal modeling, dynamic modeling, psychometrics, and structural equation modeling. The successful candidate will complement and extend this expertise, fostering collaborations within the department and across the university. A record of, or potential for, securing external research funding is essential. The candidate will also be committed to mentoring graduate students and teaching in the quantitative psychology curriculum.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
• A record of, or the potential for, securing external research funding.
