Professor of Practice
About The Position
The Department of Computer Science at Tulane University invites applications for a Professor of Practice position beginning in Fall 2027. The department is looking to expand its expertise in computer systems and programming languages. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, programming languages and compilers, cybersecurity, databases, distributed systems, and operating systems. Outstanding candidates from other areas will be considered as well. The successful candidate will have a record of excellent teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate level, a commitment to student-centered teaching, and a drive to support our students both in and out of the classroom. Tulane University is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities and is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as an R1 (Very High Research Activity) and Community Engaged university. Tulane resides in historic New Orleans, Louisiana.
