About The Position

The CMB Department is seeking a Professor of Practice to join their team. This role is primarily dedicated to undergraduate teaching and aims to broaden the undergraduate curriculum. Professors of Practice can also provide service and/or research opportunities for undergraduates, and may have opportunities for summer teaching with additional remuneration. The School of Science and Engineering offers exceptional opportunities for collaboration across disciplines and supports cutting-edge research and educational initiatives. Requirements

• A doctorate in Biology or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated ability or evidence of strong potential to teach lecture and laboratory courses in cell and molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Teaching the equivalent of three courses each semester.
• Advising CMB majors.
• Serving on department, program, and university committees.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and MS levels.
• Commitment to innovative and inclusive pedagogy.
