About The Position
Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business is seeking a non-tenure track, full-time faculty member for the Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship (MSE) Department. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Strategy or a related field, or have extensive business experience, a proven record of high-quality teaching, and demonstrated contributions to their field or industry. Responsibilities include teaching 18 credit hours annually, participating in university service, and delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, including online courses. The position begins in Fall 2027. The role offers competitive salary, teaching load, and support for research and instruction. Hiring is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
Requirements
- Graduate degrees in Management, MBA, or Master’s degree in Strategy.
- 1-3 years of experience teaching strategy courses at a university level with demonstrated excellence, preferably at a business school.

- Ph.D., DBA in strategy, business, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Established record of high-quality teaching at a university level.
- In-person and online teaching experience.
- Demonstrated contributions to the field or industry.
- Research in practitioner or academic journals is a plus.
