About The Position

The Department of Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Open Rank Professor position in International Relations, beginning August 1, 2027. We seek a scholar focused on the relationship between emerging computational technologies and conflict processes/security studies. A particular priority would be strong methodological training, including quantitative, computational, formal, experimental, text-as-data, simulation-based, or mixed-method research. This hire would support the Department of Political Science’s undergraduate and graduate teaching in international relations and political methodology.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field.
  • Scholarly focus on the relationship between emerging computational technologies and conflict processes/security studies.
  • Strong methodological training, including quantitative, computational, formal, experimental, text-as-data, simulation-based, or mixed-method research.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in international relations and political methodology.
