About The Position

The Department of Government at Dartmouth College invites applications for a Visiting Professor from Israel to conduct research and teach in the department during the 2027–28 academic year. Candidates who are pursuing research and teaching related to Israel’s domestic politics or foreign/security relations, broadly construed, are particularly encouraged to apply. The appointment is for 1 or 2 terms during any of Dartmouth’s four 10-week quarters. The visiting professor will give a public lecture while at Dartmouth. The candidate’s research and teaching interests would ideally position them to develop productive relationships with faculty and postdoctoral fellows in Dartmouth’s intellectual community. Requirements

• Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field
• Must have a research/teaching position at an Israeli university
• Experience teaching a version of the proposed course is ideal
