The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Belmont University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Political Science. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2027. We seek candidates with specializations in comparative politics, especially Asian or Latin American politics, and in political economy, though we will consider candidates with other specializations that align with departmental needs and priorities. Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate political science and general education courses. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service. Because all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, the University particularly seeks applicants who demonstrate an interest in and ability to collaborate on course design and teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in the program.
