Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Anesthesiology (AC Track)
About The Position
The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Anesthesiology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Academic Clinician track. Requirements
- DDS/DMD degree with certificate of advanced training in Dental Anesthesiology preferred
- MD or DO with dental anesthesiology training acceptable
- Board eligibility or board certification from the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology or American Board of Anesthesiology
- Eligibility for dental or medical licensure with anesthesia permit in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Experience in the anesthetic management of patients with special health care needs
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold active PA licensure.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality clinical and didactic instruction to postgraduate specialty students, including but not limited to Periodontics and Pediatric Dentistry residents as well as dental students, in all aspects of anesthesiology and sedation.
- Delivering expert anesthetic and sedation management for patients with special health care needs and for individuals who require advanced sedative or anesthetic interventions.
- Contributing to innovative educational initiatives, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the continuous advancement of our sedation and anesthesia programs.
