About The Position

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of minimally-invasive gastrointestinal surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery or eligible for such certification. Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of fellows, residents and medical students rotating on the GI Surgery service. Clinical responsibilities may include in- and out-patient clinical care of general and gastrointestinal surgery patients – especially within the foregut and hernia realms. This position will be housed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Certified by the American Board of Surgery or eligible for such certification.
  • Expertise in minimally-invasive gastrointestinal surgery.

Responsibilities
