The Department of Psychiatry (DOP) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU) has an opening for a Professor of Global Mental Health. This role involves securing external research funding, developing new projects and collaborations, building a portfolio of external contract salary support from industry, and bringing business opportunities to the Department. The position requires funding, training, and mentoring research lab members, building interdisciplinary and international partnerships to translate neuroscience discoveries into interventions, and leading externally funded research programs. Additionally, the role includes teaching and mentoring students in various fields, achieving a track record of high-impact publications, and partnering with the Adult Division Research Director to advance research infrastructure and mentor junior researchers. The Professor will also build bridges between the Department of Psychiatry and the Colorado School of Public Health and the Center for Global Health.
