About The Position

This position is for a Part-Time Professor to teach ADM4346M, Auditing in a digital environment, during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on information technology and its impact on internal and external auditors, covering topics such as IT risks, Audit Data Analytics, automated data capture, real-time reporting, distributed databases, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, systems reliability, privacy, confidentiality, security, integrity, availability, control frameworks, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, systems life cycle, and information asset and intellectual property.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in accounting/auditing.
  • Recent professional experience in accounting information systems auditing.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in AIS auditing.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • Specialist designation in internal/IT auditing (CIA, CA-IT, CISA, CRISC, etc.).
  • Competence in passive second language (English is the language of instruction).
  • Ability to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in accounting/auditing.
  • Teaching experience in the area of AIS auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course ADM4346M: Auditing in a digital environment.
  • Deliver instruction in person.
  • Potentially adapt teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
