About The Position

This course focuses on the definition of auditing, exploring key concepts such as management assertions, audit objectives, evidence, materiality, and risk. It covers internal control, audit planning, and reporting as applied to financial statements. Additionally, the course addresses professional ethics, legal liability, and the responsibilities of auditors to society.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in auditing theory.
  • Recent professional experience in auditing.
  • Familiarity with CAS and IAS.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in auditing.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA).
  • Passive competence in a second language.

  • Ph.D. in auditing theory.
  • Teaching experience in the area of auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Auditing Theory (ADM3349A, Section M) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
  • Deliver instruction in English.
  • Conduct teaching in person.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
