About The Position

This job is located in the Community Outreach Compliance and Enforcement Division of the Municipal Courts Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position uses subject matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence. Licenses, certifications and/or relevant experience and education in the assigned program specialty are typically required prior to assuming this position. The employee selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures to more qualified staff. Typical duties may include: assisting in a variety of departmental projects or programs; handling and adjusting complaints; providing technical assistance or support to professional staff; driving between work sites and other locations to conduct inspections; transporting materials, equipment, and supplies; and supporting off-site programs and operational activities. This position may also provide specialized services in support of planned departmental programs and activities on a temporary or contract basis. Job assignments may include: performing as Volunteer Program Coordinator, Animal Welfare Foster and Transfer Program Assistant, Veterinarian Assistant, and Police Victim Services Assistant; providing hazard abatement assistance and support and technical support for utility billing functions; performing functions involving GIS drafting, mapping, and graphic design; work order and inventory control; marketing and communications; hazard abatement and oil and gas, storm shelter and fence inspections; installing communications equipment/mobile devices; completing environmental field work and paperwork; researching and assisting with writing plans and standard operating procedures; and performing functions related to Clean Water Act compliance and environmental protection. The necessary skills, knowledge, and ability and/or licenses and certifications to perform departmental specific tasks are typically acquired prior to assuming the duties of the position. Possession of a valid Driver License (Operator) is required for employees assigned to the Animal Welfare and Construction Inspections Divisions of the Development Services Department, Information Technology, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation Departments.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age at the time of application submission
  • Employees in part-time/year-round positions may work no more than 29 hours per week
