About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks related to land surveying, including communication with stakeholders, preparation of documents, research of property records and codes, project management, and client relations. The position requires a strong understanding of surveying principles and the ability to manage survey crews.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD required
• Field survey experience, especially with Robotic Surveying Equipment and GPS
• Demonstrated ability to apply the principles of effective project management
• Ability to represent the company effectively in client relations
• Ability to communicate and present information to clients and the general public

Nice To Haves

• Civil 3D or Carlson a plus

Responsibilities

• Communicate with owners, engineers, and contractors to request and provide information concerning plats, plans, and other drawings
• Preparing sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions
• Research legal and survey records to obtain information about properties
• Research applicable codes and standards
• Time management and prioritizing tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints
• Meeting deadlines of both City & County Planning Commissions
• Interface with clients, utility companies, construction administrators, contractors, and vendors
• Supervising and directing work of survey crews
• Perform other related duties as assigned
