With no direct supervision, provides very complex specialized services and support to department, office, or program. This role provides support services during non-class/open lab times for Fashion Design courses and programs, including instruction, lab setup, and lab safety for the Fashion Design department. The assistant will communicate with instructors to monitor student attendance and participation, serve as a communications liaison for Fashion Design courses and programs, and provide information regarding course and program offerings. They will also assist students attending lab as needed to support their progress and comprehension of coursework, maintain lab cleanliness, ensure students follow the Code of Conduct, ensure all equipment is in running condition and turned off at the end of lab sessions, secure all student work in appropriate cabinets and spaces, and safely secure the classroom at the end of lab time.
