About The Position

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a Professional II to conduct specific tasks for research and development missions for both civil and military research. For two decades, SOL Engineering Services LLC has provided engineering and technical services to government, commercial and industrial clients. The firm has approximately 100 professionals, including engineers, scientists, and project managers, who utilize best practices in management, quality, and engineering principles to ensure all projects are delivered successfully. Our commitment to our clients, talented employees and community has led to our growth to ten different offices across seven different states. Now, we are in search of professionals that will help us maintain this momentum.

Requirements

Master’s degree in the required area of expertise or has at least 3 years of documented experience in related professional field with skills in the mission area.
Have experience in field or laboratory testing, project management, resource allocation, project safety, project proposals or professional certifications in related field.
Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal) and apply for and maintain up to a Secret clearance and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Conduct specific tasks for research and development missions for both civil and military research.
Document key findings and results from the various efforts into data and technical reports.
Prepare briefings to containing overview, methodology and results, modeling and simulation, and options for consideration including potential courses of action.
May perform technical or grammatical reviews of technical reports, papers, journal articles, manuals, abstracts, technical letters, special reports, and presentation briefings.
Analysis of test results from advanced laboratory material characterization tests, model pavement sections, the evaluation of emerging material and equipment solutions, the evaluation of pavement design solutions, the analysis of pavement construction issues, the analyses of new pavement construction techniques, and the evaluation of the performance of those materials.
Analysis in support of pavement design problems, pavement analysis problems, pavement construction problems, full-depth reclamation test results, and transportation infrastructure modeling in support of the development of new design and evaluation methods.
