About The Position
Professional Development Specialist (Nursing) inspires professional nurses through human connections, innovation and experiential learning, utilizing evidence-based practice with the goal of advancing the mission of ECU Health.
Requirements
- MSN in Nursing Education or MSN with Postmasters Certificate in Education is required- or higher.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- Professional Development Specialist-Nursing will be required to obtain Nursing Professional Development Certification within 3 years.
- 3 years to 5 years in clinical practice with evidence of clinical knowledge, leadership, and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Participate in program planning and/or serve as Nurse Planner for nursing continuing professional development.
- Lead experiential learning activities through innovative teaching and learning methods.
- Develop, implement and evaluate teaching and learning experiences to continuously improve quality, experience, finance, well-being, and equity and inclusion outcomes.
- Establish effective communication networks with unit and organization leadership.
- Creates a supportive environment for nursing research/EBP/QI and integrating into practice.
- Disseminate research findings through educational programs and other activities (internal and external).
- Facilitate orientation processes, nurse residency program, and role transitions.
- Administer and evaluate learning assessments tools.
