About The Position

Tallahassee State College (TSC) is seeking a full-time, grant-funded Professional Development Coordinator to join the Department of Juvenile Justice/Administrative Services/Office of Staff Development and Training. This role is crucial in fostering a vibrant workplace community and supporting the daily operations of the Leadership Institute and the Talent, Leadership, & Culture department. The coordinator will report to the Professional Development Manager.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Six years of technical experience in training, planning, scheduling, customer service, LMS systems, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred and may substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process and screen applicants for the Leadership Institute.
  • Coordinate schedules and serve as the primary coordinator for cohorts from start to finish.
  • Provide technical assistance and coaching.
  • Serve as an adjunct facilitator for Leadership Institute and Professional Development trainings.
  • Manage LMS (External Primary/Internal Secondary) functions including marketing, participant registration & management, customer service support, report generation specific to the Leadership Institute, and creation of customized playlists.
  • Assist in the creation of ongoing reports and metrics for data analysis.
  • Assist in conducting ongoing assessments using various mechanisms like end-of-course evaluations, Survey Monkey, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Assist in building assessments to meet Kirkpatrick Levels, analyze effectiveness and trends, make recommendations, and help plan strategies for improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing research for curriculum to strengthen the leadership institute's offerings, resources for participants (articles, books, events, activities, podcasts, videos), and in support of succession planning.
  • Assist in planning leadership training and conferences.
