Professional Delivery Driver
About The Position
McDougall Energy is looking for skilled and safety-focused individuals to fill the position of DZ Professional Delivery Driver in Chatham. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of products while upholding a high standard of customer service. Safety is paramount, and we expect our drivers to demonstrate safe driving practices and professional conduct on the roads and when interacting with customers. Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities include ensuring the safe delivery of bulk product to our client’s fleet, heavy equipment, generators, or bulk tanks within a designated area, inventory control of bulk product on truck, conducting daily vehicle inspections and accurately completing related documentation, providing exceptional customer service, working outdoors in all weather conditions to meet our customer needs, and using a handheld computer device to monitor the flow of fuel being input and disposed from the truck.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year driving experience with a valid DZ license
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to be a team player
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Numeric ability and strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work a continental schedule (2-3-2), daily shift 6 am to 6:30 pm
- Successfully pass pre- and random drug & alcohol testing
- Must have a safety and compliance mindset
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe delivery of bulk product to our client’s fleet, heavy equipment, generators, or bulk tanks within a designated area
- Inventory control of bulk product on truck
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and accurately complete related documentation
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions to meet our customer needs
- Use a handheld computer device to monitor the flow of fuel being input and disposed from the truck
