Professional Delivery Driver
About The Position
McDougall Energy is looking for a skilled and safety-focused individual to join their team as a Professional Delivery Driver for their Line Haul Division in their Sudbury location. In this role, the driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of products while upholding a high standard of customer service. Safety is paramount, and drivers are expected to demonstrate safe driving practices and professional conduct on the roads and when interacting with customers. The company values driver skills and offers an exciting work environment. The position reports to the Regional Manager.
Requirements
- A valid AZ License with a minimum of two years driving experience
- Valid and clean commercial driver’s license
- Strong knowledge and proven history of safe driving, delivery, and dangerous goods handling practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to be a team player
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Numeric ability and strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service
- A strong comfort level with onboard computer technology
- Ability to work shift work
- Must have a safety and compliance mindset
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe delivery of bulk product to our client’s fleet, heavy equipment, generators, or bulk tanks within a designated area
- Inventory control of bulk product on truck
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and accurately complete related documentation
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions to meet our customer needs
- Use a handheld computer device to monitor the flow of fuel being input and disposed from the truck
