About The Position
SCLHSA is hiring a Professional Counselor at its Terrebonne Behavioral Health Center in Houma, Louisiana. This leadership-level role provides advanced professional behavioral health services within community programs and offers the opportunity to contribute to the agency’s mission of improving quality of life through education, prevention, intervention, and treatment. The position is part of a Career Progression Group and may be filled at the Professional Counselor 1, 2, 3, or 4 level, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications. The position offers an opportunity to advance within the job series. There are two vacancies. This is a probationary appointment. Starting salary depends on the selected applicant’s education and experience.
Requirements
- Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
- Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
- Provide written and verbal consultation to other agencies.
- Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.
