Professional Communications Teacher, Upward Bound Program
About The Position
Wilkes University is seeking a Professional Communications Teacher for its Upward Bound Program. This federally funded TRIO Program aims to support high school students in their journey towards higher education by assisting with career exploration and college preparation. The teacher will be responsible for delivering the academic component, focusing on equipping a small group of high school students with essential professional communication skills for college and future careers. Topics will include formal language, college and workplace terminology, professional email writing, requesting letters of recommendation, and appropriate academic/professional communication. The goal is to build student confidence and practical skills for success in college and the workplace.
