About The Position
This is a regular part-time professor position for the Financial Theory course (ADM2752M) during the Winter 2027 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The course covers key theoretical paradigms in modern finance, including arbitrage, expected utility, risk aversion, risk-return trade-offs, behavioral finance, prospect theory, framing theory, mental accounting, agency theory, and information asymmetry. The course will be taught in person.
Requirements
- Must have an MBA or Master's degree (preferably a Doctorate) in Finance.
- Demonstrate good teaching experience in advanced finance or microeconomics, preferably in financial theory or financial economics.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate in Finance is preferred.
- Experience teaching financial theory or financial economics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach the Financial Theory course (ADM2752M) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Deliver instruction in person.
- Potentially adapt teaching mode due to health or other reasons.
